Brenda and Andrew's elopement was everything they'd hoped for: simple and relaxed. We started the day at the Santa Barbara Courthouse for the official ceremony that included them two, the officiant and me. A ring exchange and a kiss later, they were officially married, and we set off to capture couple's portraits around the stunning property - a favorite moment being on the building's tower where the wind swept Brenda's veil all around, creating the picture perfect bridal moment with her hand sewn gown she made.
Next we set off to Night Lizard Brewing Company for a celebratory snack and a beer. That's where we met the cutest shop dog whose name we can't remember, but company we thoroughly enjoyed. Once their glasses emptied, their day continued at the beach where we found the most beautiful spot for them to share personal vows. Overlooking the ocean and the Santa Barbara coast, Brenda and Andrew shared vows that left them both in tears. [and me too if I'm being honest]
Our final stop brought us to the beach shore, where they ditched their shoes and did a small cake cutting ceremony together. The weather was perfect; waves crashed, birds huddled along the water's edge and the sun created an arguably perfect scene for their couple's portraits. Overall, I'd characterize the day as mellow and meaningful - nothing too out of the ordinary, yet extraordinary at the same time.
