As a wedding photographer with a degree in journalism, my goal is to capture the candid moments of your day, not curate them.
I moved to California to be closer to family - and it's proved to be one of the best decisions. Getting to be a part of my niece and nephew's lives is seriously the best. I wish Oklahoma weren't so far away, but I'm lucky to visit home to see my brother + parents often :-)
I grew up with mini schnauzers and have had two myself [very loyal to the brand]. When I got my current dog [the grey one] I thought to myself, "what's the most middle aged woman name I can give a dog?" Thus, Donna. I love dogs so much and can't imagine life without one.
I've spent a year overseas, documenting as I go. My first solo apartment was in Kathmandu, Nepal where I spent the summer traveling around photographing and writing people's stories during an internship. Getting to experience other cultures deepened my appreciation for just how unique we are as individuals, and made a huge impact on the way I document people.
“Aimee's vision and optimism instilled confidence in us, and instantly made us feel comfortable in front of the camera.
